I must have been mistaken i thought we were booking into a 4 star hotel.. we arrived after 5 which is not staffed. The intercom outside did not work... the after hours number directed us to a call centre... 15 minutes later tired and with all our luggage still standing on the street when a guest let us into the lobby. From there we were able to use the after hours checkin but that was not a great start to say the least. Things went down hill from there. We had no blind in our room... so the city lights and the early morning light were unable to be blocked out. The mattresses were so incredibly hard and uncomfortable. A cushioned pillow top or mattress topper would help but for me quality sleep is number 1. There were a couple of stains on one of the sheets. You need to empty all rubbish yourself more serviced apartment than 4 star hotel... and wash up your glasses yourself which in times of covid I question how hygienic that would be and it also explains the lipstick marks on the wine glasses. There was a fair bit of dust around the lamp and behind the bed. The location is very noisy after a poor nights sleep due to the mattress we were woken up at 7am with loud smashing and crashing noises. Sorry I hate to leave bad reviews but I did not enjoy my stay at all.

We stayed overnight in a 2 bed appt as we were attending a function in the city, on arrival were met by very friendly and helpful staff, on entering appt was very pleasantly surprised to find a spacious kitchen and dining area with sitting room. 2 bedrooms complete with bathroom in each plus washing machine in one and dryer. It was a cheaper option for our one night stay and what a bargain. So close to downtown as well. Everything in walking distance. Thank you

While the location is good and the rooms large, this does not make up for a lack of cleanliness and broken fixtures. The shower was full of black mould. The toilet bowl looked it had been soaked in tea. The soap holder in the shower had rusted and broken off.

I would highly recommend these apartments. We got a 1 bedroom superior apartment. The price was good and the location, very near Central Station made it very convenient. The building is a charming art deco building and all in all was a really good base for exploring Brisbane.

An older building retaining great charm, I would not have usually picked but so glad we stayed. One bedroom apartment style with kitchen was just what was needed on this trip and the Rothbury delivered. The classic old hotel charm of original wood paneling lifts with common areas classic floors and wall tiles was not lost with the room renovations. While parts could be cleaner and carpet stains are noticeable, the visit was enjoyable and staff friendly. Central to the city, a convenient place to stay
